The Carmelite System’s CEO, Trish Gathers, attends the 29th Annual CaringKind Forget-Me-Not Gala in Honor of Alzheimer’s Awareness
Manhattan, NY – On June 9, 2025, the prestigious Cipriani Hall in Manhattan welcomed esteemed guests, healthcare advocates, and philanthropic leaders for the 29th Annual CaringKind Forget-Me-Not Gala, a signature event raising awareness and support for individuals and families impacted by Alzheimer’s disease.
Among the distinguished attendees was Trish Gathers, President and CEO of The Carmelite System Inc., accompanied by Ina Salley and Ana Tagle. Their presence underscored a strong commitment to compassionate memory care and a public show of solidarity with the Alzheimer’s community.
The Carmelite System, a Catholic not-for-profit healthcare network sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm, has long been at the forefront of geriatric and dementia care. Most recently, its flagship facility, Ozanam Hall of Queens, unveiled a state-of-the-art Alzheimer’s Care Unit, designed to provide specialized, person-centered care for residents navigating the challenges of memory loss.
“Being here tonight reflects who we are at our core,” said Trish Gathers. “Alzheimer’s disease affects not just individuals but entire families. Through our facilities, especially Ozanam Hall’s new Alzheimer’s unit, we’re answering that call with dignity, love, and clinical excellence.”
Hosted by CaringKind, New York City’s leading expert in Alzheimer’s and dementia caregiving support, the gala brought together change-makers dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by cognitive decline. Trish Gathers’ attendance amplified The Carmelite System’s mission to “Be Kinder Than Kindness Itself,” providing holistic care rooted in faith, service, and innovation.
