Mother Mary Rose Heery, O.Carm, is the Prioress General of the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm, a Catholic congregation devoted to elder care rooted in Gospel values. Elected in 2020 after serving six years as Vicar General, she leads with a focus on preserving dignity in aging. A Queens, New York native, she helped integrate D’Youville Life & Wellness Community into the Carmelite System and oversees 20 care facilities in the U.S. and Ireland. Mother Mary Rose champions leadership development and lay collaboration, carrying forward the legacy of Venerable Mary Angeline Teresa, O.Carm, through compassionate service.
